Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representatives Mike Rogers (R-AL), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Mike Turner (R-OH), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Tom Cole (R-OK), Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, Ken Calvert (R-CA), Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Defense, and Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL), Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, released a statement in support of Speaker Johnson’s plan to pass the full national security supplemental.
In their statement, the representatives highlighted the importance of passing the aid package to boost U.S. national security interests in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific. They emphasized, "There is nothing our adversaries would love more than if Congress were to fail to pass critical national security aid."
The representatives also stressed the urgency of the situation, stating, "We don’t have time to spare when it comes to our national security. We need to pass this aid package this week."
